    Hi there,

When creating a recurring event there is no option to repeat on the 5th Sunday of each month.

I can repeat an event on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and last, but not 5th.
This means that the months with 5 weeks in, have an event missing.

    Please can this be rectified?

    Kind Regards,

    Chris

so you can understand why this is important here is an example of its use case:

we run event A on every sunday of the month (except the 4th Sunday)
we run event B on the 4th Sunday of every month
If there is a 5th Sunday of the month we run event A.

It’s worth noting that 7 months of the year have at least 3 days that happen 5 times during the month. For example, August 2014 had 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays. October 2014 had 5 Wednesdays, 5 Thursdays, and 5 Fridays.

Would the last option not work?

The last option, would put it on the 5th, but on the months where there are only 4 weeks, it would also put it on the 4th.

There is no way to put something only on the 5th.
So we set a one recurring event for event A the 1st sunday in the month, another for event A on the 2nd, another for event A on the 3rd.
We then create a recurring event for Event B on the 4th sunday of every month.

If we then create a recurring event for event A on the 5th Sunday of everymonth by using ‘last’ it then also creates an event on the 4th Sunday everymonth for the months with only 4 sundays in, which leaves us with two events on the 4th sunday, event a and event b, when only event a is running

    Does this make it clearer?

Not sure there’s any way around this, because what you’re looking for is a conditional logic that’s not available out-of-the-box.

Huge thanks to Marcus @netweblogic and team for fixing this issue for us. This now means that events manager can be used for events that recur in the months with 5 weeks.

Marcus provided truly great support to me around this issue, and made clear that he would correct this quickly. I’ve just checked back to see if it’s ready yet, and I notice that it was fixed in the 5.7.3 release, over a month ago.
so apologies for the belated thanks on my part – THANK YOU!!!!!!

No problem for the delay, thanks for the kind words @chrisscottuk

If you haven’t already, a plugin review would be appreciated!
