As others have commented, I was seeing several warnings through the Structured Data Testing Tool and Google Search Console. I was able to fix all but one of these warnings by filling out the appropriate fields within the WP SEO Structured Data Schema plugin. It definitely makes Schema Markup in JSON very easy.

However, I could not fix the Product ID schema field. https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pyzdekinstitute.com%2Fgroup-training

Google would like some kind of Product Identifier, or as they say, “This Product is missing a global identifier (e.g. isbn, mpn or gtin8). Please see documentation for valid identifiers.” https://www.screencast.com/t/6O71VK9VA8C

It seems the same value can be used as the SKU, but maybe Google would like to see something completely unique in the Product ID field.

Can you please add a Product Identifier field to the list of options on the Product tab? Or, is there another way I can add the Product ID field manually.

Thank you for any help you can provide. Much appreciated.

Just a quick update – it seems the Product Identifier can not be the SKU and does need to be something else. Accordion to this blog by Surnia Ulula, the product identifier must be unique and can’t be the SKU. https://surniaulula.com/app/wordpress/plugins/wpsso/google-missing-product-id-for-woocommerce-solution/

“The Product ID referred to by Google is not the Schema productID property, but a general term Google uses for a missing product identifier, like the mpn property (aka Manufacturer Part Number) or another unique product identifier. The product SKU, unfortunately does not appear to count as a unique product identifier.”

I appreciate the prompt reply and your addressing of the new field in the next version. Here’s a bit more information on the ProductID schema. https://schema.org/productID

    Keep up the great work.

Hi. I’m having the same problem. I’m using the Pro version 1.2.8. Do you know what you will be fixing this issue and releasing a new version?
