Missing posts after trying to import from wordpress.com

I am very new and not technically-skilled at all.

I am trying to move a blog from the free WordPress site to a paid host at ipage. The blog has multiple authors and I’m using tools–>export, saving the xml on my hard drive, and then tool–>import on the new blog. After the import I notice that many of the posts from one author are missing. I tried to export just that author and import just that author, but there are still posts missing. Everything else seems to be importing correctly except that one author.

At ipage, when I scroll to the bottom it says that I’m using version 2.9.2.

I searched here and google and was unable to find anything. The original blog is genxmoms.wordpress.com.
