Missing Post, Disappearing Post

  • Hello,

    I was wondering if anyone could help me (I don’t have a lot of technical knowledge). I run a blog https://www.carbonneutraltourism.co.uk when I write a post and click publish the post appears on the blog and then a couple of hours later it disappears. I am not too sure what to do to solve the problem (this has only started to happen over the last week).

  • Maybe you were hacked? BTW, you are using an ancient WP version that is unsafe.

    Many thanks for getting back to me. I will upgrade to the latest version. I was wondering how can I tell if I’ve been ‘hacked’?

    Well, that’s a long and tedious task. You can search for “hacked” and you’ll find lots of posts.

    Just upgrading might not be enough.
    You will have to examine the files and directories, the database etc.
