missing pages after 2.86 upgrade

  • I cannot see the pages in my dashboard, but when I bring them up in a browser, they appear, but with no data for the page.. just the template.

    so, i can access https://www.blog.com/node/?page_id=6 in browser (w/out data), but not in dashboard.

    how can i recover these to edit them?

    i tried reinstalling the backup already.

  • Common problems caused by upgrades are failure to complete the upgrade process successfully – sometimes this results in incomplete, corrupt or missing files. This problem can usually be solved by following the old fashioned manual upgrade process.

    Otherwise, it’s quite likely an incompatibility between the new version of WordPress you’ve just installed and an incompatible plugin or theme. Disable all your plugins, then re-enable them one by one, to see if you can identify the faulty one. Or switch to another theme temporarily. See if you can narrow the culprit down.
