• Although all of my pages are properly titled, there seems to be a bug and when I try to either link internally through the link module, or try to change my menu, the page names are blank.

I can work around both linking internally and selecting the pages for my menu, but the problem is that on the home page of my site, the menu items also show up blank.

This was happening from the beginning of my installing WordPress, before I installed any plug ins, and is not related to my current theme as I am having the same issue if I back-track to the twenty eleven theme.

    Any ideas??

    the site is https://www.luzsol.com

  • Let’s see your site with ALL plugins deactivated and a default theme active.

I did that already, in fact that’s how it was functioning “out of the box” if I really must do it again for demonstration’s sake I guess I will, but my client’s site is up and running now (I’ve managed some very obnoxious workarounds) I’d rather not..

    any other suggestions?

If it’s never worked, you could try reinstalling WP.

If I reinstall WordPress what happens to my site?

Hopefully, it will fix the problems you are having – this is what you should do:

Re-upload all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

I’d suggest you deactivate all plugins and switch to the default theme while doing the above.

FOR ANYONE WHO IS ENCOUNTERING A SIMILAR PROBLEM AND ENDED UP ON THIS FORUM.

Make sure before you take the steps outlined by MPyogi you back up your site with your host, or you will lose everything you’ve done.

I had been doing back ups with my theme and thought those were saved somewhere on my root folder… when I asked WPyogi what would happen to my site i meant exactly that, does rebooting wordpress get rid of my site.

It might have fixed the problem, we’ll see when I’m done restoring my site from my latest back up 4 days ago.

WordPress is great and all, but you guys could really step up your friggin support team.

Every time someone asks questions here it always feels like you guys are doing the tedious chore of answering stupid questions… yup, we’re not all coders, that’s why we’re here on the help forum. We don’t all know exactly how worpress works, that’s why we’re on the wordpress forum.

We’re here because we need help, it’d be nice if we got complete full help, not snarky “i’m superior to you” comments like Esmi’s so good at giving.

I get it, you’re volunteer moderators and all, but still, do something well or don’t do it at all.

    Thanks for the help anyway…
