• We are running into an issue with about 66% of transactions not being passed into analytics after updating to GTM4WP. It also appears that on the checkout page, after verifying your age to purchase, the plugin is deploying the same GTM container a second time. This occurs with a popup in the shopping cart for age verification. I assume that these two things are related.

I am also seeing an additional global site tag that I’m not familiar with detected on the checkout page.

Do you know if this is a conflict with GTM4WP or with the age verification plugin, agechecker.net?

    Hi,

I checked your site but I haven’t seen any age verification.
I also do not see that your GTM container is loading multiple times.

I was not able to place an order because I would need to pay with my bank card.
Question is what payment gateway you are using, is there any in-between page showing before the order received page is loaded and whether there is any customization on the order received page.

What you could easily check in GA: in the behavior reports, how many pageviews do you see for the order received page? If you see about the same number as your transaction that means that GA is not tracking properly at all (perhaps people exit your site after the payment but before returning to your order received page)

If you see many order received page views but a few transaction, something prevents ecommerce tracking to happen.

Do you have a public test site where you can activate cash on delivery to that I can go though the whole process?

HI Thomas, thank you for the response.

We don’t have a test site for this unfortunately. Let me see what I can do in regards to putting a staging site into test mode.

I should have been more clear, the age verification occurs on the payment submission at the last stage of the checkout. If you check that page and go through the checkout you will be able to see the issue of the GTM snippet deploying twice.

If this doesn’t work for you, I will look into getting a set up that will work for test orders.

    thanks,
