Missing or Incorrect Data when syncing

    Hi there,

    We have installed the plugin and synced it with our Facebook store. However, on Facebook, it’s showing an error on the Instagram Shopping section, mentioning the following:

    Missing or Invalid Information
Review why this item isn't ready to use.
?
Missing or Incorrect Data
This error may appear for up to 30 minutes after you make your updates.

    All of the products are marked as “Sync and show” on Facebook. These are mostly variable products, and I also have some simple products, but all of them are facing the same issue.

    Facebook isn’t giving me a lot of data on _what_ is missing or incorrect, so I can’t fix it.

    Any ideas? We’re going live in roughly 4 hours so would love to have that there.

    Can you click the Review why this item isn't ready button and tell us what it says there? A screenshot would be helpful! You can use a service like https://snipboard.io to share it here.

    Based on your symptoms you described so far it sounds like you may not have all the information required for Facebook to load your products on their platform.

    Additionally, it’d be a huge help if you could turn on Logging for Facebook, you can do that from WP-admin > marketing > Facebook and checking the logging checkbox.

    Once logging is turned on, please try a manual sync with the sync button in Marketing > Facebook > Product Sync, and then check your Facebook for WooCommerce logs, which should be available at WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    You’ll be able to access your Facebook for WooCommerce logs by using the dropdown on the right.

    If you could copy and paste the Facebook for WooCommerce logs we’d be happy to go over them with you!

    Logging for the plugin is not throwing any errors – just gave them a full read and nothing’s coming up.

    It seems like, for some reason, the products that are being imported from Woo are missing something – I manually create a product with the same attributes and it’s g2g.

    I have the same problem. Stating “missing or incorrect data” but only for instagram shopping. cf image (same as @joseeantonior)

    However I can use the products on both facebook and instagram shop. I can see them and tag them on a post. What does that mean ?

    Manual sync does not change anything. And nothing wrong on the logs. All things seems to be ok.

    @joseeantonior Thanks for getting back to us! It seems like something may be interfering with Facebook for WooCommerce.

    It will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

    Additionally, you may want to try resetting all of your Facebook metadata by following this guide: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/facebook-for-woocommerce-delete-or-reset-all-facebook-products/

    If that doesn’t help, please try a conflict test, deactivate all other plugins except for Facebook for WooCommerce and WooCommerce itself then try a new sync.

    @crazywickedawesome I don’t think them opening a new thread is useful here. We’re all having the same issue so _you_ are losing on troubleshooting details.

    As mentioned before, there are no errors on the Woo side. I only have WooCommerce and the Facebook plugin so there’s nothing else I can turn off.

    I agree with @joseeantonior that we all have the same issue, so why posting on a new thread ?

    First of all, i would like to know what it means that a product is not ready for instagram shopping. Cause the products can still be used in the facebook and instagram shops, be tagged on publication, etc.

    Second of all, not all products are showing this error. It seems to not be a consistent error. Sometimes, for the same type of product (lets say a bag), one is showing the error, and another doesn’t.

    Here after is the log you asked.

    @joseeantonior I asked @amauryt and @maracaipe to open their own threads as while the symptoms may be the same the underlying root causes may be different. New threads also means that things are more organized and multiple threads helps highlight that these symptoms are impacting multiple sites.

    @maracaipe I see that you’re currently on an older version of the theme you’re using. Can you please try updating then check again?

    Additionally, as you have quite a few active plugins, can you please try deactivating everything except WooCommerce and Facebook for WooCommerce then checking again?

    When you say you’re seeing a message about a product not being ready for Instagram shopping, can you please share a screenshot of where you’re seeing that message? you can use a service such as snipboard.io to share the screenshot here.

    Since you mentioned some products are not showing the same error, can you link to a product with this issue and a product that doesn’t seem to be affected so that we can take a look?

    @joseeantonior Could you please provide your System Status Report as requested?

    We all are seeing that when we check our product on the facebook catalog.

    Here is one product not affected:

    The majority of my products are affected by that. But as said before, what does it mean ? Cause we can still tag them in post/stories. So what does mean “not ready for instagram shopping”

    I’m working with HE to try and resolve this, so I’m going to continue this route but would appreciate a resolution on this thread. I’ve spent hours and all I could see were incomplete threads, so let’s keep trying to understand what’s going on here and I will post what I hear back from HE, who has escalated to Facebook Product Support.

    Hi @joseeantonior. For those types of errors, we haven’t found a common cause and that’s why we ask people to contact us to escalate to Facebook. I’m going to go ahead and resolve this thread since you are working with us by email, but feel free to add any information that you find out here if you think it may help someone else.

    Just posting my support for you to keep going until you find a solution to this issue. I’m sick and tired of massive, monopoly organisations like facebook, google etc screwing things up then hiding behind AI or blaming someone else’s plugin, programme or whatever for the problem. Keep digging and please don’t give up.
    You’re a top man as far as I’m concerned and you’ve got a lot of support out here!
