On 2 of the 3 web sites that I manage, when editing a page, I am now missing the option near the bottom for the “Discussion” settings, where I can check or uncheck the options for “Allow Comments” and “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page”. I’m sure there is an easy setting to get this back again but I cannot seem to find it. Any advice?

  • I have the same problem on a new website published in the last 24 hours, v. 3.1.

By the way, I deactivated all my plugins to troubleshoot and changed the theme – still no luck.

get familiar with your dashboard – every tab, button, option …

‘screen option’ near the top right of the ‘edit page’ page

this should allow you to activate the ‘discussion’ box below the editor

Thank you alchymyth. This was where it was. Much appreciated!

Well… I don’t have to do this on any of my other more than dozen wordpress sites that is updated for 3.1, so there was no clue to “get familiar” with my Dashboard.

I do appreciate being pointed in the right direction though.

    Mahalo!
