Missing Option for New Tiled Galleries

  • That’s not part of WordPress 3.4.2 core. Perhaps it’s a theme option?

    I tried with a fresh install on a different server – no avail. Same options.

    Do I need to install anything else besides wordpress 3.4.2?

    No. It’s not part of WordPress. If you have seen this option previously, it came from a plugin or theme – not WordPress itself.

    Thanks esmi, but it’s supposed to be part of the core WordPress functions. A new one, at that. And I’ve seen many blogs using the function with different themes.

    From the announcement:

    Settings –> Media in your blog’s dashboard, scroll down to “Image Gallery Carousel,” and select the box next to “Display all your gallery pictures in a cool mosaic.”

    You can see from the snapshot I don’t even have the Image Carousel option.

    Not in 3.4.2, it isn’t. And you’re referencing wordpress.com documents for wordpress.com hosted sites. Not self-hosted WordPress sites.

    Oh… OH! I had no idea there was a difference!
