• So, I tried a gravatar plugin yesterday and couldn’t get it to mesh with my theme (Connections). I ended up removing it and deactivating it.

Then suddenly I found myself missing the theme editore tab in “Presentation”, and numerous other tabs inside the dashboard menus. I am missing everything from the “Manage” menu except for “Subscriptions”. No Post, no Pages, no Categories, nothing. Where’d they go?

I was going to just re-install WP and start over, but decided to try the one click back up plugin so I wouldn’t have to burden my readers via feed with a reposting of EVERYTHING. Even that doesn’t work.

    I need halp!

  • Which gravatar plugin ? Yours is the second such report at least, so this is obviously bad code or a bad readme.

Make sure the plugin is both deactivated and deleted.

    try this:
Delete ONLY those files in the /wp-admin/ directory.
    Upload new files.
Go to the admin , press ctrl-f5 to force a refresh.

If that does not help, repeat but this time delete the files in the /wp-includes/ directory, upload, force a refresh.

    What happens ?

That’s the plugin. I’ve extracted and deactivated everything that had anything to do with that plugin, and I’ve followed your instructions as well – still missing most of my sub-tabs within the admin panel. I don’t know what to do besides re-install, and it’s frustrating because there’s so much to backup and learn how to reinstall entry-wise. Any other suggestions?
