Missing MySQL

  • When I try to install I get this message:
    “Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL which is required for WordPress.”

    However, I have a MySQL set up and I’ve entered the correct username and password. I have been at this the last few days.

  • Are you certain about that. Some web hosts prefix every user and database with your own user name.

    For example, if my web site is https://www.foobar.com

    and my user id is foo,

    and I create a database called wp2 and a user called foo2,

    then my web host prefixes my user name, like this:

    MySQL Database: foo_wp2
    User: foo_foo2
