• Can’t seem to figure out how to set this up right using the application settings for an app I am trying to get sorted on this plugin

    I get the following error

    INFO: Page fetched successfully
    INFO: 17 metatags were found
INFO: twitter:card = app tag found
ERROR: Required meta tag missing (twitter:text:title)

please advise, if its easier to handle via email, I am happy to share all of my other settings to help diagnose, thank you!

    Hi,

Crap! I think Twitter has modified its markup again and I did not have the time to check it.

I’ll see what I can do, but I can’t work on this today.

awesome! hey question, prior to this new change, did your “Application” card have a “download” or “install” button so viewers can click below the app on that install button and download the owners app?

    and last question,

I cannot find “Application” card specific details on how to complete the settings for applications on android and ios….

no instructions are available in the videos or otherwise that I can find that walk you through all of the settings on that form.

is it possible to get something like this?

I think it would help go a long way to reducing your support requests and boosting adoption of this awesome software! thank you!

There are settings for app card on option page, but it is probably something I can improve. I’ll see what I can do.

    Stay tuned ^^

Hi J, perhaps I was not clear, my bad, will try to clarify

I was trying to say the instructions for filling out those data points for applications are thin on specificity,

well actually, non existent, I think you may be losing users

so a person is guessing if they have done it right,
then when not sure about the errors,

they have to come here and occupy your time,

whereas a solid instruction manual, specifying

    A-what the data points are
    and
    B-where to find them etc,

    would avoid that
and encourage people to implement the plugin as the videos completely avoid the subject

    Love the plugin concept!

FYI, 3 final questions, one got missed last time

#1-prior to this new change, did your “Application” card have a “download” or “install” button so viewers can click below the app on that install button and download the owners app?

#2-Any update on that error I reported above that lead to this?

#3-If NO to #2, any anticipated range of time we might see that?

    thanks!

    Hi,

    Ok that’s more clear, thanks.

#1 no, the plugin does not provide smart banners, as the Twitter markup is supposed to promote the app on Twitter.

#2 Unfortunately, the error is no longer visible in the Twitter cards validator. I can’t reproduce it for now.

#3 the plugin already provides hints, documentation, and helpful links, but nothing is perfect. It’s true that the app card has neither video demo nor explanations, but Twitter already documents it.

However, I think it can be improved. I don’t have much time, but I can work on that this week, hopefully
