Missing manual sorting option – menu_order-DESC

The setting page has a manual sorting option, but this one is menu_order-ASC, which will show the the newly added images at the end of the gallery.
Can we have an option or a filter for menu_order-DESC ?
This way the newly added images will be on the top of the gallery and will be visible on the first page if we have a paged gallery.
