Missing latitude or longitude custom fields

  • Just installed that for a new project using the Listable theme. But I can’t get the maps work correctly. In the console I always get the error: TypeError: Cannot read property ‘lat’ of undefined — ajax-filters.min.js?ver=1.25.0:1 You can check the error for example on this page: https://saladblue.com/bauern/brot/

    I already was in contact with the theme developer. He gave me the feedback that’s a bit wirred because it seems that the WP Job Manager Plugin do not creates the latitude and longitude custom fields. I already checked the posts, and there’s truly no latitude or longitude custom field in any of the listings.

    Someone have an idea what could be wrong? I already deactivated the plugin and did a reinstall but it’s still the same issue.

  • I think that the address is geocoded via the google map API.

    I was having trouble with this and ended up installing searchwp and facetwp to get better mapping results.

    My developer may be able to help you with this issue, do you have a budget?

    I am having the same problem.
    I didn’t have this before but it could be due to upgrading to wordpress 4.7 or upgrading to the latest WPJM I’m not sure which one is the problem.

    None of the custom geolocation fields are being created (not just the latitude and longitude fields) when creating a listing.

    I have an update for this. Previously, after doing my upgrades, I was testing with a particular (and very specific) address. Recently when trying to debug I found that the problem was that the address was not being accepted but when I tried with more general addresses (say just the town or city name along with country etc.) it was showing on the map.

    I now need to figure out why my original particular address was not being identified. Here in Bahrain we use the address in the following format:

    Building 969, Road 2017, Block 330, Zinj, Manama, Bahrain

    Does anyone have any documentation or tips regarding the address formats to use or can even direct me to which part of the code is responsible for parsing and/or locating the address? I would appreciate that very much.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts. At the beginning I also thought this error depends on the address used for the listing. But it seems it’s not just the address itself. For debugging I used really common “addresses” like ‘New York’ or ‘London’ and had the same error.

    there is something called proximity search that helps with the location or properties close to an address.

    I had to install them to get my mapping working on my “listable” theme… I could be totally wrong about this
