Missing installation file

  • Good afternoon WordPress Community,

    I’m alexco95 and I’m a new user. I’ve a question related the WordPress software.

    A few minutes ago, I’ve downloaded the .zip file WordPress 4.0 on my Desktop, but when I’ve opened it, I found different folders containing .php files, but not the .exe file that is required to install a program.

    Without the .exe installation file, how can I run WordPress 4.0 on my computer?
