The socialize plugin was working fine with a “Call to Action” box until i had to change all image filenames (and title/alt). Afterwards, facebook “like” stopped appending the product images.
The few products that remained unchanged look fine on facebook, with featured image and everything.

Google+ works fine, the issue is only with facebook.
I’ve tried reinstalling the plugin but the problem remains.
The changes I made are rather recent – happened during the last few days.

Sorry for the double post, I’m a bit clueless since this is my first post ever on wordpress and i’m quite new to the whole web designing thingy (actually i’m struggling to finish someone else’s job). Should i create a separate topic for this just let me know ??

Besides the facebook image issue above, I’m having another one after having installed Yoast SEO plugin. The Google+ share adds the product SEO title I’ve set up in the SEO plugin (this doesn’t happen on facebook) and then adds the product name again, leading to a duplicate.
It looks like <Product name – Site name>(no space)Product name
SEO title is this <SEO Title>.
Before the SEO plugin install g+ (just like facebook) only appended the Product name for the share, nothing more, nothing less.
Any clue on how to lose the SEO title and keep the Product name as before?

    Many thanks!

    Looks like two separate issues.

The first is probably because you were changing the images. Running your pages through https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug will update Facebook’s data for your page.

The second is something you should be able to fix within WordPress SEO. The plugin just uses ‘the_title()’ which other plugins can overwrite.
