Ummm.. TechnoJunkyard on Facebook CERTAINLY has images.. Sadly I guess I’ll be removing this…

    Hi Danny,
I just get a little block for the image and am getting this as the image source : “img src=”//graph.facebook.com/299947210143546/picture?type=normal” which points to nowhere.

@demoman2k10, those are not images in the technical sense of the word, those are links with an image preview of the link. Facebook doesn’t share this image preview through their API.

@manpoerboer, for me your images are working now. Even following your image source brings me to an image.

@danny, I’m on Mac, I see they work in Safari and firefox, but not Chrome, funny.

That’s really strange.. Could you send me a screenshot of what you’re seeing, [email protected]. Might be just a CSS issue.

Hi, Danny, did u get my mail? [email protected] undeliverable so I used hi@’yourwebsite’.com. I had a look at chrome on the iphone and it does work there.

Yes sorry, that’s the email I meant. I received it, been a little too busy to take a look just yet.

    Hi Danny,
I’m also trying out “Recent Facebook Posts” on my blog.

The posts display fine except the images as you can see.

I tried to change the “Image source size” to “Thumbnails” or “Normal” but it wouldn’t change anything.

I also tried to change the value of “Image width (in px)” and “Image height (in px)” and again no image is displayed.

I even tried to deactivate all my plugins except “Recent Facebook Posts” and F5 to reload the blog page: The text is here, the like icons, comment icons as well as the timestamp display fine but not the images/thumbnails.

    Hello again Danny,
after a few minutes I eventually got thumbnails!!
I set the value of “Image width (in px)” to 250 and “Image height (in px)” to 250.
However, it looks like the thumbnails are not 250pixels wide or even high.
It appears that whatever the pixels size in width and height, as long as it’s different than Zero pixels, thumbnails will show up, albeit in the same size always.
Maybe you know how we can size up the thumbnails (while keeping the proportions of course)?

@danny – I am having the same problem with one of my sites using this plugin.

    https://www.friendsofoakparkschools.org

I am getting the ? mark in a box. When I click on the ? box, the image shows up. I have changed the image size, tried thumbnail and normal, deactivated, reactivated, and renewed the cache file each time. Still the same thing.

    Any ideas?

Are you using a public page or a personal profile?

Hi @r2dsgn. The Facebook page you posted does not exist or is not publicly available? I’m pretty sure that that is related to the issue, none of the links created by Recent Facebook Posts seem to work.

Please double check your Page URL and get the numeric ID of it using this tool.
