Hello. We’re successfully built out a web story and have that published. I’m trying to build out a new template of page designs but I cannot get any images from my media library to display on a page. I get the broken image link every time. The only images that do work are the ones I can select that are included through the plugin. I’ve tried many times with the same results and the plugin is up to date. What could be the problem?

On another note, thank you for adding a corner radius option!

@sdeardorff Thank you for opening your topic!

Did you upload the image inside the editor or through WordPress? Has the image been deleted from your library or the WordPress media library at any point?

If possible could you send us a URL of the story and perhaps a recording of what you experience? You can use something like Recordit to capture a screencast of the issues.

Lastly, does this issue persist if you use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable its troubleshooting mode? This mode disables active plugins and switches to a default theme safely because it only affects the experience of the logged-in user.

    – Please enable the Web Stories plugin and let me know if the issue is present.
    – Enabling plugins and your theme one by one in this mode may help pinpoint if something else is involved.
    – Note you can disable troubleshooting mode from the plugins page.

Hello. I have my file saved as a draft. So an update: when I preview my file, all of the images are there. So the problem in with the plugin builder on the backend. Every image I place through the web stories builder onto a page just have a broken link icon. It’s just hard to place images that way when you can only view them in preview mode.

Also, I cannot find any way to replace or update an image layer that already exists. Do you really need to delete the layer and create a new one when an image needs to be changed out? Thanks

Sorry, forgot to say that yes, all items I am using exist in the media library. Here’s a screenshot. The image I have placed was one of the images displayed at the right. Note how it won’t show when placed on the story page board.

    Thanks for sharing that screenshot.

    1) Could you please provide your Site Health information so we can try to reproduce it on our side? You can share privately if you prefer.

    2) Does this issue occur in an incognito browser?

You can insert or replace an existing media asset in a maskable element by dragging it into a padded area around the element in question (see example).

If the pointer is over the hit zone of a mask, the ghost becomes transparent (fades to lower opacity) and an instant preview within the hovered element is shown.

Hello. I think the problem was WP Rocket’s lazy loading image option. I turned that off and now it seems to be working again.
