I’m getting broken links when I set the permalinks to something other than default. Apparently, this could have something to do with the .htaccess file. However, when I look into my root dir, I have no such file. How does one get created?

WordPress will create it when it can, or when you change the permalinks, WordPress will give you the necessary rules for you to put into the file manually.

Excellent! I never noticed the code at the bottom! I’ve created an .htaccess file and pasted that in. I’ll probably change the permissions now on my server.
