Hi, i have just overtook a site for maintenance, there is a old version of ACF Pro installed that got alot of security holes. Installing SCF did not help, because the template relies on ACF Pro, as tere are menu points inside the wp admin main menu that add content to the site. Disabling Pro removes them and the content on the site. Never used ACF Pro before but for me this looks like a function only the Pro Version has. Are there any plans in adding this to SCF or do i need to buy a Pro licence to update and remove those security holes?

    Hi there,

I’m not sure what the near-future goal for Secure Custom Fields will be, as the initial focus of this newly created plugin was to fix the security issues available on ACF while offering a superior experience for WordPress users.

I believe a natural next step is to bring feature parity with their ACF Pro version to give more freedom to users, so my recommendation would be to wait a bit and keep following the changelog, but that is something you need to consider based on your current context and possibilities.
