When I go to Pinterest Rich pins validator, after entering my URL, I get a message ‘Your Pins have been validated! Apply to enable your Rich Pins’ with an Apply now button.

On hitting the button, I get an error message ‘Missing Fields.’ When I scroll down I find the error is at the Authors field, which shows:”–“.

I have furnished the Facebook profile in Yoast tab. How to rectify this error ‘Missing fields’ now?

    My URL is https://plantainspread.com/

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Could you advise whether you’ve first confirmed your website on Pinterest before applying for Rich Pins? You can refer to this article for more information — https://yoast.com/help/how-to-get-pinterest-rich-pins/

If you’ve already confirmed your site, and are trying to get rich pins for your site, please make sure that you’re submitting a post or page URL that contains the valid rich pin data.

For more information, you can refer to Pinterest’s documentation here — https://developers.pinterest.com/docs/rich-pins/overview/?

    Hi

Yes, I have confirmed my website on Pinterest before applying for Rich Pins.

I did submit a page URL that contains valid data. Only then I received the message – ‘Your Pins have been validated!,

It is only when I hit the submit button, I get the Authors error.

We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble. Can you please disable Yoast SEO temporarily and try submitting the webpage again to Pinterest to check whether this resolves the issue for you?

Tried this. But, it did not help! ??

    Hi,

The issue may be with Pinterest. We say this as we looked at https://plantainspread.com/ and can confirm Yoast is outputting the right author tag for use with Pinterest. See image: https://pasteboard.co/JjBw3Hx.png.

We suggest contacting Pinterest as Yoast is outputting all the data correctly AND the issue happens even with Yoast disabled. You can contact them here:?https://help.pinterest.com/en

Thanks for the reply. I decided not to apply for Pinterest Rich Pins. If the system has issues that need taking them up individually, I am nor for it.:)
