Missing field ‘aggregateRating’ but no product sitemap

    I am getting a weird error for my product listings given the way I have RankMath configured.

    I am NOT including a sitemap for any of my project pages, so there should be no product sitemap submitted to Google. I have verified that this this sitemap is NOT included.

    However, I am getting two errors from Google when indexing my site and this specific product page which should not even be indexed. No product pages should be indexed and have not been indexed to date.

    • Missing field “aggregateRating”
    • Missing field “review”

    Can anyone explain:

    • why these pages are being indexed at all
    • why I am getting this error message even if they are indexed

    The page you have shared is set to Index. So, even if you are not submitting it using the sitemap, Google can still discover it through internal linking on your site. If you don’t want products to be indexed in the search results, you should set them to Noindex. You can do that by enabling the?Robots Meta?option and setting it to Noindex in?WP Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Titles & Meta > Products.

    Since the affected page doesn’t have reviews, the review and aggregateRating properties are not included in the Schema, and Google is informing you that adding those fields can improve the rich snippet generation in the SERPs. Those are just warnings, not an error and will not affect your site’s performance in the SERPs.
