Missing Facebook Posts

    Within the last 30 days I have begun having sporadic problems with posts not going to Facebook. No errors, no message, they just don’t appear on Facebook and do not show in the SNAP widget on my post admin page as even attempting to post. Twitter works fine. This has become a daily routine now. Of the 3-4 posts we schedule each morning, at least 2 don’t go to Facebook, the others that do go work and look fine. Again, no trouble with Twitter.

    We schedule posts, so they go between 5:50 and 6:00am each day, not sure if that is a factor. the site is https://www.auburnmassdaily.com .

    Well, from that page, it appears it is set up OK, but it is a bit beyond my scope. I can say I have used SNAP for quite a while, and this is a new problem dating back just a couple weeks. I havee not received any modification notices from Bluehost, which I do whenever they make changes that could affect my installations.

    I would also add that the problem is sporadic. Some days it all works fine, other days posts are missed. However the past 5 days it has become like 1 of every 3 posts as opposed to 1 of every 8 or 10 before this week.

    That sounds exactly as a sign of unstable WP Cron.

    When you setup WP Cron as recommended it’s called on a stable schedule and everything is working fine.

    When you have default pseudo cron it can be called once per hour one day and 100 times per second the next one depending on your server and number of visitors. As the result you can getting missed posts or duplicates from time to time.
