• Hello,
I’m using this great pluging by putting the exif shortcode in the description field of an image [exif id=”xxx”]. This is working fine and all available exif data is displayed in my lightbox information field.
I only want to see some of the fields so I added the fields in this way: [exif id=”xxx” show=”aperture, shutter, iso, flash”]. In this case only the aperture, shutter, iso are shown. The flash info is missing. If I try [exif id=”661″ show=”all”] then all fields are shown.
Why are some fields not displayed when inputting them separately?
    Thanks

    Hi Martin,

Sorry, I couldn’t replicate this problem with an image that definitely shows a result for flash fired when showing all fields.

By default the plugin doesn’t show a value when there is no value to display, so some images vary as to whether they have any data saved for the flash or not; but for an image that does display the flash data it seems to show with the shortcode example you gave. This is my test with the exact shortcodes you gave: https://cl.ly/image/1P0I2P25451b

Yes, the credit and camera fields are messed up on that one, but the specific fields all display in the second shortcode.

If you have a specific image example I can try testing it.

    Hello Kristarella,

    Thanks for your reply.
In the meantime the problem is solved. I’m using ‘posts’ instead of a ‘web page’ to display my image galleries. On a post page I can select the fields I like to show while this is not offered when using a webpage layout.
I retested now the exif data on a webpage layout using the
[exif id=”xxxx” show=”aperture,shutter_speed,iso,flash,camera,focal_length”] and it is also working now. I don’t know why it didn’t work before. The only thing I did was changing the order of the fields in the exifography.php file.
Anyhow it is much easier using the ‘posts’ because I don’t have to enter all the parameters for each image.
This is my website https://www.martinvdmoortel-photography.be where you can see the results by clicking on the little ‘i’ at the right bottom of an image (lightbox view).
    Thanks
