    This is a simple question:
No problems until this message was on my dashboard:
“Uh Oh! For some reason WordPress could not create an events page for you (or you just deleted it). Not to worry though, all you have to do is create an empty page, name it whatever you want, and select it as your events page in your settings page. Sorry for the extra step! If you know what you are doing, you may have done this on purpose, if so ignore this message”

Are we talking Page or Post here?

Created a blank page (not post), directed the Events settings to this page, no change, still will not show created events on the home page that are published.
It does not list past events in the Events dashboard in All or Mine, only in Trash and Drafts.
    Am I missing something?
Any help would be appreciated, try not to get technical…

  • not part of support.. just some dude.

Usually it is a page.. named Events
on the page you should have…
    CONTENTS

Now.. if, this is a “new” Events page.. with a different name
or may have deleted the original..
you need to point to it…
    So….
A)in your Admin.. Settings –> Events -> Settings
    click the Pages tab..
click the Event List/Archives it will expand.
the first item Events page is a drop down box for you to select your “new” Events page for your list of events.

Now on the other hand… if you look in your normal Admin Pages
There should be a page called “Events”
    Unless you deleted it.
Which would have the words CONTENTS
If you do have the “Events” page.. with those words CONTENTS.. go back to above..
    A) and make sure it is pointing to that page.

Those are the basics.. hope that gets you going.
