Missing “Enable Automated Taxes”

If you go to the WooCommerce > Status > WooCommerce Services page, do you see any errors there? If not, can you provide me with the URL for the site in question so I can look it up on my end and see if there are any issues with the server connection?

Hello! We are encountering the same problem.
We have WooCommerce services and Jetpack installed and connected but the option for automated taxes isn’t showing.

Our status log has a few notifications for payment gateways that read “Not tested with the active version of WooCommerce”.
It also shows the following outdated template errors:
flatsome/woocommerce/global/quantity-input.php version 3.6.0 is out of date. The core version is 4.0.0,
flatsome/woocommerce/notices/error.php version 3.5.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.9.0,
flatsome/woocommerce/notices/notice.php version 3.5.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.9.0,
flatsome/woocommerce/notices/success.php version 3.5.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.9.0,
flatsome/woocommerce/single-product/related.php version 3.0.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.9.0

Should any of these prevent the option for automated taxes from appearing?

I did a quick check on your site URL and the server response was good (Response Code: 200), so I would suggest checking to see if there are any fatal error logs in the WooCommerce > Status > Logs page. If you don’t see any recent logs in the dropdown menu there, the next thing I would recommend trying is a conflict test, to see if something might be blocking that option from appearing since you are using the current versions of WooCommerce, Jetpack, and Services.

It could be possible that out of date template overrides might prevent the Automated Taxes option from showing as an option- but I would recommend looking to see that WooCommerce, Jetpack, WooCommerce Services, and your active theme are all using the current versions- as theme updates often contain the updated core files referenced in that message.

I had the same issue with Automated Tax not showing up.

I had already connected to WooCommerce but, after I deactivated other plugins for a conflict test, I got a new notification to Connect Woo again. Hit connect and it fixed the issue – box now shows up.

Don’t know if that helps at all but figured I’d throw it out there for you.

We had the same issue and had to disable the new JavaScript Woocommerce Admin plugin for the Woocommerce services to work.

@nlcprep01 – I would suggest temporarily deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce, Jetpack, and WooCommerce Services and see if the option shows up then. If so, you can identify the cause by slowly re-activating plugins and re-testing until the problem appears again.
