Missing email submission notifications – Down time – Emails not sent
-
Hello,
Our company uses ninja forms for scheduling therapists. They fill out forms and submit them to us.
Submissions under the plugin on wordpress are received fine. However, recently we received a down time where we were not getting email notifications for our submissions. That’s how our system works, where scheduler receives email submissions and then schedule therapists. We missed over 50 email submission notifications over two 2 days 8/12 – 8/14 , then it was working fine again.
Now that I am monitoring the submissions another email notification was missed this morning however received fine on wordpress.
I know that the plugin uses wp_email function. Would SMTP be a more reliable option?
I also talked to godaddy our host provider, he mentioned “Sending forms from our servers require that the plugin be configured to use our relay-hosting.secureserver.net hosting servers” <<<any information on that?
My manager will most likely decide to migrate to a dedicated server.
What do you guys think about all this, for more reliability go with SMTP, dedicated server, configuring relay-hosting?
