Missing custom categories select widget

  • We are using 2.0.1 of the Toolset Types plugin on WP 4.5.2. We have a custom post type “News” that uses a set of custom categories. For some reason, now we no longer have the ability to assign the custom categories to entries in that post type. On the post edit page, there is no longer a widget to assign the category at all. What can we do to bring back this functionality?

    Have you checked Toolset > Post Types > your_post_type > Taxonomies to be used with your_post_type?

    Also, have you checked Toolset > Taxonomies > your_custom_taxonomy > Post types to be used with your_taxonomy?

    As well, same screen, check if the settings:
    – show_ui
    – show_in_nav_menus
    – show_tagcloud
    are all checked

    At last, same screen, top right, check the status of the taxonomy, it should be “Published”
