    Hello,

    I’m using Maskkito light theme, all was working fine until now, when I tried to edit a page and all content of widgets has disappear, if I edit the widget this ones are empty, but I can see it on the site.
    So the site is working fine but I can’t update it due to losing all content.
    Also if I restore a previews revision and the update It’s stays as html in the editor and not in page builder.

    This are the plugins that I’m using:

    Ajax Domain Checker
    Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
    Collapse-O-Matic
    Contact Form 7
    Page Builder by SiteOrigin
    Really Simple CAPTCHA
    Redux Framework
    SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
    Toolset Types
    Wordfence Security

    I tried to disable all plugins but the issue remains, also tried to repair tables of DB in case there were broken but not changes.

    I got another site and is facing the same issue, also It’s using less plugins.
    I will be contacting the theme support too.

    Just to expand on that a little:

    @shufflehound I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the theme review team.

    @jdembowski Okey, then how can we resolve such an issues if we don’t even know where to start and we don’t have a time to wait for every answer, which sometimes can take days, even weeks.
    Can’t we just ask for login details, but with notice that user needs to give us a development site where we can test everything?
    Also, thank you for limiting our WP.org account.

    @rootsman We checked your site and looks like there are no plugins installed. You need to install all our theme recommended plugins to get all its functionality.

    There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site should not be one of them.

    You get the idea.

    Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.

    No, but to clarify, you can simply ask them to contact you elsewhere for further support, and what you then ask them to do elsewhere is of no concern to us.

    We simply cannot allow anyone to directly request access details here on these forums due to some very serious abuse in the past.

    Beyond that, I do suggest that you consider what Jan suggested above, as there are ways to further help users without asking them to hand over their keys.

    We can understand it, but it is too time consuming.
    By browser ourself it is much faster, because in few minutes we can check multiple things and even find things, that we most likely wouldn’t ask.

    These are self-help support forums. Taking a short cut and doing it for the user solves the immediate issue while introducing yourself to tangible liability.

    The longer and more time consuming support here not only helps the original poster but anyone else who has their problem too.

    Anyway, we will start asking to contact us with email for further questions.

    You can ask people to contact you, that’s allowed. You can provide support here, via email or on your own site. Or not at all, it is up to you.

    But no one should permit you to log into their site. That’s going too far.

    The plugins where all active, I designed the site using them, really strange what happened here.
    I have deleted them and reinstalled it and same issue, it’s strange due to that if I edit the page I can see the content in the widgets of page builder but when I edit it it’s missing.

    Check what I mean: Image you could see in maskkito slogan the text “Quienes Somos” but if you open it is empty

    I also asked for support at page builder forum, still waiting for a reply.

    Really appreciated the help.

    I solved it, don’t know why but mbstring.internal_encoding was set to japan changed it to UTF-8 and all is working now.

    Thanks for the help and sorry for the trouble.
