After upgrading to the latest version, commenter labels no longer appear. I had the “Hide commenter labels” unchecked before upgrading, and tried checking it, saving changes, unchecking it and saving changes again, but they’re still not showing up.

    Hi thebeggs4,
Please enable comment author labels again. And go to Dashboard > Comments > wpDiscuz Settings > wpDiscuz Background & Color Tab and set some color for all labels. That’s not lost, the reason is white background and the text is also white.

As I said, they were already enabled. Also, I’ve set the colour for all labels, but they’re still not showing up.

Please leave some URL, and make sure labels are enabled

Also if you have cache plugin, don’t forget to clear all caches.

I’m not using a cache plugin, and labels are definitely enabled.

It depends on avatars, your website avatars are disabled, please turn on this option https://screencast.com/t/3PnEMNFeK

We have avatars turned on and they’re all showing up just fine. We’re using “Wavatar (Generated)” and have Buddypress installed.

That’s a shame, as I’d rather it not depend on avatars, as in previous versions. Guess I don’t really have a choice, which is disappointing. Oh well, thanks for the solution.

    John,
I think all those plugins disable WP native avatars and affect comments avatars. Please try to deactivate “Wavatar (Generated)” plugin, just for testing…
