I have had the problem in Customizr theme and child theme. Neither comment form, nor tags, nor Simple Share buttons are showing on post page at the end of posts. Display post metas has been checked. Enable comments on pages is checked. All posts are set to allow comments. I was having the problem before the update too. I have attempted to deactivate plugins. I certainly would appreciate help! Thanks in advance for your time.

  • So did you complete the Plugin Test? Any change in behaviour?

    (Plugin Test:
    Deactivate all plugins
    Test if OK
If OK, reactivate plugins one-by-one to find the culprit)

Any changes made to the CT functions.php?

Yes, I did complete the Plugin Test. No change.
    No changes to CT functions.php.

Did find that tags, categories, and Simple Share buttons do appear in archive search results. But still no Comment form…

What is set in Customize>Content>Front Page>Comments?

“Enable comments on pages” is checked.

I am at a loss on what to do to get my categories, tags, socials, and comment form to show on my blog page. Noted a very odd thing today. After creating a new post, when I viewed the post from the entry screen, all my categories, tags, socials, and comment form were there. But when I connected through the live menu, none were there. I went back through the post listing and viewed from that screen, and they were all there. What am I missing??

Today I noticed that I can leave blog post comments on my iphone, but still not on my laptop….

    Any ideas??

Sigh. I was hoping the WP update would magically solve my problem, but alas, it did not happen.

Today we noted that when we click on the title of the blog post then the missing pieces appear — categories, tags, socials, and comment form. This seems to indicate a conflict in the theme setting for Post page. For the life of me I can’t find it!

    Pretty Please, HELP!!

I have the Customizr theme, and a page where “Allow Comments” is turned on, however, the “Leave a comment” form does not appear on the page.

This page doesn’t have tags and socials, so I haven’t experienced the same issues that the Lewistruth indicated.

This thread hasn’t seen any activity in a while? Has nobody else found a solution to this issue?

    (I have WordPress 4.2.2, Customizr 3.3.28.)

I just found the answer a few minutes after I posted my comment.

Customizr has a setting that controls comments on pages. If this global setting is turned off, then it doesn’t matter if you turn comments on / off on each page. I don’t know if this is a bug or if this is how it was intended to work, but it boggled my mind too.

Here is how to allow comments on pages. You still have to allow / disallow them on each page individually.

In your Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Content: Home, Posts > Comments > Enable comments on pages.

    Voilà!

Hi @jd-fb thanks for the feedback.
This should be stated more clearly I agree. I’ll think about something like a notice when user allow comment on a single page when it’s globally disabled.
Now in the improvements list ??

    Thanks for the follow-up, nikeo!

I love your theme, by the way! I think it’s cool that I can customize so much with a few mouse clicks.

I sure was hoping that jd-fb finally found my solution, but I didn’t have a chance to check into it until today. Sigh. Still no joy. I did have the “enable comments on pages” checked.

With today’s post I noticed this

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class ‘TC_post_metas’ does not have a method ‘tc_post_metas’ in /home/mellew7/ddcommunity.org/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 496

I don’t remember seeing that before. Being that it says “warning” it doesn’t sound good. Could this indicate my problem? If so, what do I do about it?

    Thanks for your time.

New WP version will disable comments on pages by default – thank god for that about time too.

    Hello lewistruth,
could switch for a while on the main theme and see if you still have all those issues?
If not, then it’s a problem with your child-theme.
What do you have in it?

Also could you try to clean your supercache’s cache?
