My blog entries do not have a comment entry form.
    https://keltickat.net/3836diy-for-the-imperfect/

Old comments do appear even when their images are lost

I can’t figure out what I am missing.

*I reviewed any and every setting I could think of
*I tried disabling all my plugins
*I tried changing back to default themes
*I tried disabling all my plugins and changing to a default theme

I tried it an incognito window, in Firefox and even IE

I am reluctant to try re-installing

    help! please!

  • From looking at the page source it seems comments are closed.

Log into your WP Dashboard and go to Settings–>Discussion. Make sure that “Allow people to post comments on new articles” is checked. Also make sure that “Automatically close comments on articles older then X days” is not checked.

    See if that helps?

Also – did comments ever show up or is this is a new issue?

Allow people to comment is checked
and close comments was set to 60 days, but is now unchecked

It is new, I can see where some comment were posted a few years ago. But I’m not sure how long ago it changed.

I see the comment form now. Clear your browser cache, test and confirm?

Okay I was putzing around and there is a check box, for each individual post that is/was unchecked. It does not toggle existing posts when you change the settings>discussion box. New posts seem to be checked automatically.

So now all I need to do go back to my recent posts and check this box.

    Thank you for your help:)
