Missing change log and sorting functionality

    Again thanks for providing the suggested limit functionality. ??
    I also noticed you have released a new version (1.0.8) of the plugin, but there is no change log information (since version 1.0.1). Could you please share the new changes to the plugin? (It would of course be great if you would like to add changes in the change log) ??

    I discovered a small “problem”. The standard sorting of posts in WP are based on the publish date, and just changing the date changes the sorting. But in “Better file download” the sorting seems to be based on the upload ID number. My client is complaining they cannot set the order of the download file view. (not even by changing the date of the file)
    For example, they upload the file “file-no1” and then “file-no3” and then “file-no2”. Then the list will show the files in the upload order. (wrong order)

    Would it be possible to define the sorting somehow (select ID or date), or would it be possible to add the sorting to the plugin View file?

    Heya Donald,

    The missing change log info is definitely my bad… ??

    I just fixed a missing closing style tag that was causing a user some issues. It’ll be fixed in the next release.

    With the sort functionality, is this an urgent issue or could it wait for a few days?

    If it’s urgent I will fix it for you tomorrow evening (Sydney time) and if it’s not I will have it fixed before Monday next week.

    I believe that there are custom post type sorting plugins if you need to fix it for your client before then…

    Hi Nik,

    Thank you for your great support (as always).
    It is not an urgent issue (as you might already suspected by my late reply ?? ), so please take the necessary time. I will announce to my client that the sorting will be solved shortly.
    Will the sorting functionality be available as “alphabetical”, “publish date” and “ID”?

    I prefer to keep the number of installed plugins to a minimum (in many aspects, such as speed, compatibility, security, server requests, etc.) ??

    Looking forward to your upcoming version! (Happy clients, happy me) ??

    Sorry this has taken so long. ??

    The version 1.0.9 now orders category downloads by date and so you can tinker with the dates to readjust the ordering.

    I also added a change log this time:)

    I have installed the new version and will hopefully have some cheerful “Hurraay” in return from the client. ??

    (I cannot see any new information in the Change log though, but it maybe take some time to show up in the WP plugin catalog?)
