I am using updraft on several websites and just discovered that they are missing several backup files. I expected to find 5 complete backups because that is how many backups I have configured to be saved. But instead most of the websites only have one complete backup. They have only the most recent backup of plugins.zip, upload.zip, themes.zip files and nothing more.

Here is a log file, https://www.dropbox.com/s/gz1s8jisr31fbd6/log.7fb18a793c5a.txt?dl=0

    What could be the problem?

    Hi,

The backup log that you send appears to have completed successfully. I can see that all components were successfully created.

Can you please send us a log where this occurs? Or where the backup has missing components?

    Kind Regards,
    Bryle

It appears all the log files show no errors.

    This is another log file,
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/kc3ehv5yck6p3j4/log.c6311f7909ca.txt?dl=0

But something is deleting the zip files. Even though these 2 logs show the uploads.zip, themes.zip and plugins.zip files were created they are now gone.

Only one copy of these files are being kept. If I run another backup it will create a new set of the zip files and delete the old set.

“Or where the backup has missing components?” I can give you login info if you could give me directions on how to provide it.

    Hi,

    > But something is deleting the zip files.

The log file records UD deciding to keep 5 sets, and which ones it kept:

That, of course, does not mean that there isn’t, as you say, *something* deleting the zips. But it’s not this particular instance of UD. Is the site cloned from another site? Do you have multiple versions of the same site, such that UD on another site could be operating on the same backup sets?

No this is a straight forward unique site. I am at a loss. I have no idea what would be deleting the files.

Hi, I have had UpdraftPlus Backup plugin for some time now, but only receive from WP – via email – backups of my plugins and of my themes, but nothing else. Is everything else being backed up? I ask because I’ve recently wiped out all my photos in my media library and need to recuperate them because my 2 year-old site is now bare of photos.

    Hi @gailp,

    Apologies for the delay.

If possible, please could you try connecting UpdraftPlus to a different Dropbox account?
Are backup files deleted from this account?

@pangiehorse Please could you open a new thread, as the issue appears to be different.
