• I noticed for an anonymous event submitter, the Add Media button is missing and the links icons are grayed out and non-functional. But they are there when I am logged in as an admin. Is this correct, or is there a setting where I can add those back in for anonymous posters? I would like them there for all submitters.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

This sounds like you need to adjust the settings under Events > Settings > General > User Capabilities.

Let us know if you need more help with that.

I checked all the subscriber settings, and compared my admin settings with a subscriber’s settings. Upload images is checked on both and that works, but there aren’t any options that say anything about the WP editor “Add Image” and links buttons. Also, the second row of editing options is missing from the subscriber’s form WP editor, too. (Like justify type, etc.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    hi,

you can use wp User Role Editor plugin then ticked upload_files capability to allow guest users to upload images/links.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

Well, I fixed the grayed out links and second line of text edit issue, simply by writing something and trying to link it (then it showed up), and the secondary text edit just needed to be shown. (Duh. I’m tired.)

However, even with the User Role Editor plugin ticked to be able to upload_files, the Add Media button is still missing for subscribers in the WP editor on the submissions description section. However, all the Add Media button does for me, when it is there, is bounce me to the top of the page and there is no way to add media anywhere.

And when I tried to link something, nothing happened. No field to type in the URL, etc. I thought it might be a pop-up being blocked but it wasn’t.

These would be great functions for my subscribers, if someone has any other ideas. Thanks!
