Missed positives in Malware Scan Screen

One of my client’s sites was hacked. I have Sucuri installed, as well as AIOWPS and Malcare.
Checking the Sucuri Dashboard says that core is clean. However, the core index.php had been modified and there was an extra .ico file in wp-includes/blocks/classic. There was also a .quarantine directory created.
There were several malware files in wp-content, but of course I never expected those to show up in the Core report.
I still have backups of all of those files if you’d like to investigate why the Dashboard missed them.

Explain to them in the email about how their malware scanner did not pick up any incidents and how the plugin did not display any modified WordPress core files even though the core files were modified.Or you can contact them for general help here:
