Hello! thank you in advance. The problem I have is that I used the bulk option but apparently forgot to save changes with the option selected to Delete Original. the process went fine but the originals were not deleted.

My question is: how can I bulk delete the original images, because if I run the queue again, it will say the image doesn’t need to be resized, but I want to delete the original to free up server space. thanks

    Hi nestorgallego!

I don’t believe there is going to be any way to get those with Imsanity unfortunately. For reference, the “originals” that this setting is referring to is the over-large images that WordPress automatically scaled down (ones that would have been larger than 2560px in either dimension and, when uploaded, WordPress scaled it down to 2560 and appended the filename with “-scaled.”). Hence the memo for this saying “Remove the large pre-scaled originals…” It’s not the originals of the images that you resized… those were, well, resized.

If you want to get rid of those original over-large images, I would recommend installing our other plugin, EWWW Image Optimizer. There is a button in the “Tools” menu for EWWW IO that will delete them automatically.

I’m going to resolve this thread but should you have further questions, please feel free to open a new one.
