Misleading message when post is scheduled

    hello,

    firstly, great little plugin, thanks.

    One small improvement: when post is scheduled for future publish and the ‘Update’ button is clicked, it still says ‘Are you sure you want to publish’. It would be good if it could have a more appropriate message depending on what the current post status is.

    It was confusing a client of mine that’s all.

    Could this be added in future releases?

    Hi Paul,

    I’ve filed an issue at GitHub (in German).

    For me your feedback raises another question: do scheduled posts need a confirmation at all? They obviously get published in the future, not the moment a user clicks the button.

    Would you prefer to see a warning when you schedule a post, or not, and why?

    In answer to your question, I would say that scheduled posts do not need a confirmation message but I would love to see something like:

    “Your post is scheduled to be posted in 18 DAYS (18th October 2014) is this correct?)

    Something like this would be good as I have had clients in the past that have accidentally set a scheduled post for the following week but have also set the year to 2015 (somehow?!) and then was confused why it didn’t publish.

    Having an actual number of days would avoid this happening again as users wouldn’t be blind to the year.

    This however is probably a 1 in a million scenario (yet it happened to me and maybe others out there) but if it’s easy to implement then why not, it would be a nice little touch and an additional failsafe.
