It clearly works 100% of the time with many more options than would ever be required, so your comment is 100% harsh.

The free version has pretty much everything you need. No complaints here.

    Hi thewiseass,

Thanks for your kind words. We would agree that actually the Free version gives many more options than you are likely to ever need.

Caleesie, would you like to try the new 3.0 version to see if you are happier with the new one?

I would be very interested in your thoughts.

    All the best

Its really sad how much the “I want everything now and for free” mentality has spoiled some people ??
They dont even wont everything for free, they even write 1 star reviews if they dont get it.

    Hey Robin,

Unfortunately I agree with you. I’ve given 3 years of my free time to this project along with countless support hours and 18 hour days sometimes for bug fixes, maintenance and upgrades but some people still want more.

It’s a shame but what can you do?

Thanks for your kind comments they are very much appreciated.

    All the best

Let’s not dismiss a point that the original poster was making; the free options are not clearly distinguished from the commercial options. Feeling aside, if this is true then the plugin can be improved.

Every pro option in the admin has a clearly marked Pro label as well as a hover overlay that explains its a pro feature.

If you can advise me how to make this more obvious I’m always open to plugin improvements.

In addition no pro options are required for it to function and neither are “half the options pro” – in addition we don’t portray being 100% free so I’m not sure I agree with the original review.

Either way its a moot point, it’s their opinion and can’t be taken away from them.

Edit: I’m redacting my comment because this review is not about me, but I am highlighting that you should have had this conversation 6 months ago.

You can see above that I tried but I didnt get a response… They left their comment and disappeared so were obviously never interested in having a discussion.

    Hi Andrew,

Do you have any update on this as I have tried to get into a dialogue regarding this review but he seems unwilling to talk?

This is really spoiling the review system as I have a few reviews like this where people willingly post 1 star reviews but then don’t follow this up when help is provided (please see most of my 1 star reviews).

It’s too late, you’ve left this communication attempt 7 months after the person left the review. The OP probably is never coming back

    Excuse me?

Please look above – review posted 8 months ago, my first reply 8 months ago – user never came back.

    I replied immediately…

I’m saying that you didn’t reply well. You replied well 7 months later, but then it was too late.

The review system is only here to receive feedback for plugins and themes so that authors or contributors can improve their software and services. It’s not here to give you glowing 5 star reviews. Stars are not important, a negative review does not mean a bad plugin.

Don’t read too much into the star ratings because that’s how you can miss the point of the review system.

In your case, you received a negative rating with an explanation of that (some reviews don’t receive an explanation). The reviewer had a negative experience whether you or other people agree with the review.

I’m trying to explain why this review completely valid.

It is nice when people reply back to you, but it is not required for a review to be valid.

These reviews will not be deleted.
