• I have been absolutely FURIOUS with both Paid Member Subscriptions and Cozmoslabs and gave a 1-star review 1 year 3 months ago.

Since then I have to say, that I have been won over. I will not hesitate to recommend Paid Member Subscriptions Pro.

I still encounter issues and non-existing functionality that are strange. Until recently members were not able to change their method of payment. And membership group admins were not able to appoint a new admin of the group.

However, today I will rate Paid Member Subscriptions Pro with 4 LARGE stars.

The big difference today compared to a year ago is, that when I contact Cozmoslabs with issues, they not only act swiftly to make sure that changes are made in the firstcoming update, but they have also on several occasions implemented the changes directly on my site.

Paid Member Subscriptions Pro is VERY good value for the money and if the people at Cosmozlabs keep up the good work, I am sure it’ll be a 5 start review from me next time.

If you are considering Paid Member Subscriptions Pro, I can only give you one advice: Buy!

    Hello,

Really sorry you had such a bad experience with our plugin and support team.

The functionality you’re describing is annoying and confusing for end users and we are investigating ways to change it.

Unfortunately the issue is more complex then it seams. What you’re describing is normal functionality for 3DSecure:

    1. You authorize the card, make sure it’s valid – this shows as 0$
    2. Once the card is valid, we actually charge the card with the correct sum

Functionally it works correctly and I’ve seen similar implementations with software that has way more users then our membership plugin.

My colleagues were really trying to help and I think their eagerness came of as lack of interest on our part.

Yes, we are investigating ways of mitigating this issue and it will happen in the future. But as with all development processes, we can not really give you an estimation as to when this will happen.

It’s on our todo list, but these things take time.

Best of luck with your projects!

@sareiodata You write that this is “normal functionality for 3DSecure”. This is simply not true.

I shop online weekly in a very big range of webshops – from big established ones to the little niche webshop – and I have never encountered this problem with 3DSecure in any shop.

“Normal functionality” and the functionality obviously intended in the 3DSecure pop-up is that the user verify that he/she wants to make a purchase with X vendor, paying Y amount on Z date – and that he/she is the rightful owner of the card.

It is NOT normal functionality that your payment system is not able to send the amount on to 3Dsecure.

Adding the excuse “others have the same problem” to “it’s difficult” and “it takes too much time” is simply not good enough.

Your payment solution does NOT work correctly from the end users point of view – which it the only point of view relevant here – and I simply cannot grasp that you show such carelessnes in relation to a thing so important to your costumers as their checkout flow.

    Same issue here!
Very confusing for my customer! They think everything is for free…
Also the SMS of the providers says “0”…
Lot of credit cards also do not work… Customers getting charged but the plugins answer is “credit card is expired”, which is simply not true

    Hello @applic and @dalodk,
    ?
?We just wanted to let you know that the 3D Security 0 charged issue was fixed in the latest version of our Stripe Add-on (1.4.5). Please make sure to update it as soon as possible.
    ?
If you encounter any issues, please let us know!
    ?
Thank you for your patience and for reporting this problem!
    ?
    Kind regards,
