Minor problem with hyperlinks

So my problem isn’t site breaking, but it’s just annoying and I thought maybe a second eye might be able to help.

Whenever you click on a hyperlink or an image that is also a hyperlink. The hyperlink text or image “shift” just a little bit. I’ve tested this in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and IE and all have the same issue. I’m using a theme that I created, so I’m sure I either did something wrong or didn’t add something. I tried to google search and search these forums for the issue, but anytime you add the word “hyperlink” or “link” you get some really basic coding examples. (I did look at them as well just to make sure they weren’t the issue I was trying to find)

So yeah, if anyone has an idea how to fix this, that would be great.
