Hi, I love your plugin and I also use it in a multilingual webs with the WPML plugin.

The only problem is that when using WPML media plugin ( https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/ ) which effectively duplicates the media objects in the database, searching with your plugin activaded shows the images duplicated. If there are 5 languages, it shows 5 times each.

But the search works well with your plugin deactivated.

It’s not a big problem, but a minor one, since all duplicated images points to the same media object.

I know for a fact the team behind WPML are very friendly and are always eager to help and fix this kind of compatibility issues with third party plugins, giving the developers all they need.

Let me know if you need any more info from me or something.

    thank you very much

    Hi Jose,

I just pushed the fix to the Github repo: https://github.com/1fixdotio/media-search-enhanced/archive/master.zip

Can you test it and let me know if it works for you? So I can commit to WP.org.

    Thanks!

Hey Yoren, I’ve tried your new version and now it does seem to work well.

    Thank you!

    Hey Jose,

I just realized the 0.7.0 is basically not working at all (if you search for alt text, caption etc.), so now it gets updated to 0.7.1.

Please let me know if it still works with WPML. (It works at my end.) Thanks!

Hey, ups! Before I just checked just if there were any duplicated results, but didn’t occour to me to test it more throughly.

Now I’ve installed v 0.7.1 and made some more test. It turns out I’m not getting any search results when searching for strings that are only present in the media filename. Could you please check that? Thank you!

    Hi Jose,

Thanks for testing (again). Searching for filenames seems work for me. But another bug in 0.7.1 is, it doesn’t work if you choose “All languages” in WPML. So I pushed 0.7.2 to Github:

    https://github.com/1fixdotio/media-search-enhanced/archive/master.zip

If you still can’t search for filenames, some have reported that MSE doesn’t work with List mode in Media Library, they need to switch to Grid mode to get it work.

I’ll do more tests later. Just report your findings here, I’ll keep follow up.

    thank you very much
