Minor Cleanup for PHP 8.2

    David,

    I turned on error reporting to clean up my own plugin for PHP 8.2 and discovered this error for MLA Assistant:

    Deprecated: Automatic conversion of false to array is deprecated in /home/***/*****/blog/wp-content/plugins/media-library-assistant/includes/class-mla-objects.php on line 249

    A low priority item to clean up for whenever you do the next update.

    I have uploaded a new MLA Development Version dated 20240110 that corrects the problem. You can find step-by-step instructions for using the Development Version in this earlier topic:

    How to download & install the current development version of MLA

    Once the Development Version is installed you can retest the PHP 8.2 Deprecation message.

    The fix will be part of my next MLA version, but in the interim it would be great if you could install the Development Version and let me know if it works for you. Thanks for alerting me to this MLA defect.

    David,

    I have installed this on my test server and all looks good. I have also set the test server to PHP 8.3 and received no errors. I have some daily cron jobs running and will check the logs after a few days to see if any errors get generated.

    I have released MLA version 3.14, which contains the fixes required for this topic.

    I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions regarding MLA’s support for PHP 8.2+. Thanks for alerting me to this MLA defect.
