• Hello, I’m hoping someone may be able to help me.

I’m really enjoying using Pinboard theme and its many features but am having a problem with its responsive nature.

When the screen is made very small or when the site is viewed on a mobile device, the menu bar dissapears and is replaced by a button which does not display correctly and is not obviously the menu from a users point of view.

Can anyone suggest how to make the menu bar remain when everything else shrinks or alternatively how to set a minimum width for the whole site so that it can adapt a bit on bigger screens but will become a fixed width when the screen goes below a certain size meaning the menu remains?

I hope I’ve been clear, the site is https://www.eatstraydogs.com

    Many thanks!

You could make a Child Theme or use a Custom CSS plugin to enter your new CSS.

Then redefine media query styles and override your widths.

Hi Andrew, thanks for the super quick reply.

My CSS knowledge is pretty basic I’m afraid. Any suggestions as to what Custom CSS I could use?

Try Jetpack plugin from wordpress and enable mobile view

Hi gumbles – I saw on your blog that you fixed the menu bar problem to where it didn’t collapse with a small screen.

at all possible could you tell me how you did that? I’ve been working on this problem for so long and I can’t for the life of me figure out hoe to fix it!! any help would be wonderful!!

Yes, please share gumbles. I can’t figure this out.
