    Hey Company 50.

    ad 1) and 2)
With WooCommerce Poor Guys Swiss Knife you can set minimum, maximum for quantities and quantity steps. This setting will affect the behavior of the quantity input and check the quantities of each product found in the customer cart for product types not for individual products.

With WooCommerce Rich Guys Swiss Knife you can set minimum and maximum as well as quantity steps for individual products but not for its variations. (We may think of implementing this, if there’s a real demand for this feature)

ad 3) I’m not really sure what you want here. You may allow back-orders on a product (that’s not available on a variation level) (your stock may go “negative”) which means that you sell products that are not available (or in stock).

If you really need both of the features, minimum, maximum and quantity steps on a variation level and an extra configuration set for backorders I could implement this feature. Please contact me via takebarcelona.com

    Hi,

Poor and Rich look like great plugins. Great job. Here’s an idea you might like.

Now, I’ve looked far and wide for a shopping steps plugin. Nada! But, I’m now seeing some “required categories” plugins, which is nice if you want to burn your categories with order details stuff. I’d prefer tags, or better, hashtags so it only slows down the cart when searching for a hashtag.

In my shopping steps application I’m custom building orders with upto 7 items/steps, each having hundreds to thousands of variations. I need to steer users to a gallery to replace what’s in the cart or place the 7 items in the cart. Either they can build from scratch, or I could create an order in bulk, send them the login and they simply change/replace any of the 7 items. Each item would require them to browse up to thousands of images from a gallery to replace any or all items. (If I relied on them adding and deleting an item it could get messy for me and confusing for users.)

It would seem so simple to (using a spreadsheet csv phpmyadmin upload example) A1 is the package; B1 is the 7 items item1,item2,item3,item4,item5,item6,item7; C1 would be the links https://domain.com/item1gallery, https://domain.com/item2gallery, … https://domain.com/item7gallery. On the cart there would appear the word (small) “replace”, which would launch the popup or modal gallery for replacing the item. The cart would not let them checkout without all 7 items being in the cart. That’s it.

Can the poor or rich swiss army knife help?

    Cheers, J

    Hi Jackola2.

You are talking about a webshop implementation with specific needs. General purpose plugins can help but if you want to set up a store as described I think it’s best to contract a developer / consultant.

You can use my plugins to personalize products but your use case is not covered by the standard versions and to overload my plugins to allow your use case would be an overkill. If I got you wrong and you feel that your proposal is easy to implement and that there’s a widespread demand for a feature like this, I appreciate your feedback.

    Regards.
