My wife sells digital curriculum and would like to use this plug-in to ensure that the minimum order is $3 — except… When you fill your cart with only free items, the minimum should not be applied. She only needs this to ensure she’s not losing money when dealing with the fees of places like PayPal, but for her free items, she doesn’t care.

Is there a way to set up a minimum of $3, but only if they’ve put more than $0 into the cart?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

This should be possible. To set this up in the plugin’s settings configure the following options:

General > Amount limits > Minimum
General > Amount types > Sum
    Amount > Min sum > 3
    Cart products > Enable section

Cart products > Individual products > Exclude (Add the free products here)

This way a customer will have to have a minimum of $3 in their cart, however, the min amount check will be skipped for excluded products.

THe Cart products section is only available in the pro version of the plugin.

Thank you for the prompt response.

Can the exclusion work with a product category? She has nearly 100 free products that are all categorized as “free”…

    Hi,

Yes, it is possible to exclude product categories and product tags as well.
