• Even though the product’s custom fields are updated and the minimum offer percentage is enabled and set in product edit page, the customer can still send an offer nevertheless. I was expecting to see an error pop up.

    Can you please check it?

I am actually interested in purchasing the extension for WC Vendors, but it makes me sad to see that the Standard version has so many bugs and inconveniences. The price would simply be too much, since I would need to pay some extra $ to have the essential parts fixed and improved.

  • Hi @mikeyhash

Its seems like misunderstanding in how the option is built VS how assumed.
When you set minimum offer price ( percentage ) then they will still be able to send an offer but after that the system will check and auto-reject the offer and user will be informed by system that the offer is declined due to following reason. It wont stop them from sending an offer. Hope that clears the confusion.

Let me know if you have any other questions on concerns.
    Thanks!

    Hi Oliver,

I think there’s no confusion. The offer is sent, its status is Pending, and the admin can Accept/Counter/Decline it. I run the latest version of the plugin.

Btw, what is the difference between Minimum Offer Price (by percentage) and Automatically Decline Offers (by percentage)? – please see https://prntscr.com/mhxim5

Because your response seems to be the case for the Automatically Decline Offers option, whilst in case of Minimum Offer Price option there should be something else.

Like I said, in my testing, I’ve only set the Minimum Offer Price (with Offers enabled) and it doesn’t reject, nor do, anything. I was expecting some sort of popup error like “You cannot offer a price lower than $X!” or “Your offer must be higher than $X!”.

    Thanks for looking into it.

@mikeyhash We don’t have any other reports of bugs, so I’ll need you to be more clear about “so many bugs and inconveniences” please.

As for the issue you did mention, I am not able to reproduce any problem with the minimum order price. For example, on my test site I setup a rule to have a minimum offer of 50% of the price of the product. When I try to submit an offer for something that, I get an error like this: https://snag.gy/nQJ2X8.jpg

Looking at that again now we could improve the verbiage on that message, but the functionality did work as expected. I’ll need you to please provide more detail about exactly what sort of rule you’re setting up so I can try to reproduce it.

    Here’s my step-by-step testing:

    1) I enable Offers for all products.

    2) I set the Minimum Offer Price, by percentage, 50%. -> https://prntscr.com/mim4o8

    3) The product’s meta seems ok -> https://prntscr.com/mim523

    4) I go to SHOP to the product which is priced ” 100,00 lei ” (please notice the comma – my national currency format by wc_price) and I make an offer of ” 10 ” (which is automatically transformed in ” 10.00 ” – please notice the dot) – https://prntscr.com/mim5to

The offer goes through without any errors, even though it shouldn’t.

Do you think maybe it has something to do with the price formats?

I’ve noticed that in your last update you’ve inserted wc_price in most places, however I think you missed a few:

    – the one in the Make Offer form -> https://prntscr.com/mim5to
    – those in backend Manage Offers – Offer Details -> https://prntscr.com/mim6vz

In addition to this issue, there is this one where the Lightbox remains blank and doesn’t close automatically when submitting the offer -> https://prntscr.com/mim7m6

Let’s try to solve this together.

Hi @mikeyhash Thanks for the detailed feedback, Much appreciated and I do agree with you here. We may need to look at those and make adjustments.

But the min offer price by percentage or price are working fine for me.
    see these

Rest, I have added to our back log and we will get those adjusted in next update.

    Thanks!

    Hi Oliver,

What I’m trying to say is that it doesn’t work with my national pricing format and that the issue could have something to do with that. The United States (U.S.) currency is formatted with a decimal point (.) as a separator between the dollars and cents. My country uses a comma (,) instead of a point to indicate that separation.

In your screenshots, you are using the English pound format, which is the same as the U.S. format of the Offers plugin and thus it wasn’t expected to raise any issue.

In addition to the places where the wc_price should be updated, here’s one more: check the product details in admin offer details -> https://prntscr.com/mji7uw

    Thank you

    (@angelleye)

@angelleyesupport Yes, we need to make sure we check the formatting to see if we can reproduce the problem.

As he mentioned, we updated everything to use wc_price recently, but he’s pointing out some places we missed it, which could be causing the problem.

Make sure we get that info in our ticket please.

@angelleye Yeah, I have added those , What happening here is that the item price filed is auto adding . For decimal and ignoring the woocommerce price settings which is why I agreed to the user and added the information in the ticket.

    Hi guys,

    Any news on this?

    Hi @mikeyhash

We have this into our backlog and we will get this adjusted possibly in our March sprint.

    Thanks!

    (@angelleye)

@mikeyhash Yes, we’ll definitely get this included on our March Sprint, and should have an update early in the month.
