Minimally Useful Unless You Buy Pro

  • I’m all for developers making money from their work — it’s how I make my living. But promoting a plugin that has essentially zero functionality unless you pay for the premium version seems not quite right. Either sell it outright or offer legit free/paid versions. As it stands you’re essentially just installing an advertisement to purchase the pro version.

    Regarding functionality, the free version of this plugin offers over 20 buttons not available with WordPress by default. Additionally, there are over 40 other functions and options to control/enhance the editor and it’s related counterparts.

    Yes, there is some additional functionality that is only included in the Pro version; which is clearly stated.
