minima plus 1.0 theme not showing blogroll in 2.5

i figured it out myself. ??

for anyone who wants to know,
i edited the minima plus 1.0 sidebar.php
in the following way:

using WP 2.5 default theme sidebar.php as a guide
for what does work, (i.e. shows the blogroll)
i deleted everything in the code below except the
first and last ul tags.

<ul>
<?php
$link_cats = $wpdb->get_results("SELECT cat_id, cat_name FROM $wpdb->linkcategories");
foreach ($link_cats as $link_cat) {
?>
<li id="linkcat-<?php echo $link_cat->cat_id; ?>"><h2><?php echo $link_cat->cat_name; 

?></h2>
<ul>
<?php wp_get_links($link_cat->cat_id); ?>
</ul>
</li>
<?php } ?>
</ul>

so that it looks like

<ul>
</ul>

then i inserted one line in between those ul tags.

so the blogroll now shows up (and with the css i wanted that fits the minima theme) with this code,

<ul>
<?php get_links_list(); ?>
</ul>

now i just need to arrange the blogroll categories by priority, not alphabetically. ??
